About Giovanni

Hamburg-based photographer, Giovanni Mafrici, has been working for over 20 years in industries as diverse as Fashion & Beauty, the Music & Events scene and also Publishing & Digital (see Selected Clients below). 

Few others can claim to have the flair and detailed eye behind the camera as well as on set. Regardless of the campaign that he's working on, the narrative and messaging are always seemlessly interwoven and on point! This talent resonates throughout his work as it showcases the exact type on-brand visual identity his clients have come to love and appreciate. 

Giovanni's sensibilities and sensitivities started at a young age in Southern Italy (Calabria) and continued through his education at the School of Photography Milano where he was mentored and worked for the premier fashion photographer Gaetano Besana. It's from this rich tradition and sensual approach to capturing anything from fashion models to a detailed still life that is evident in all Gio's work.
